As a kid when we’d pull out our Slip n’ Slide, it was time for a neighborhood party! Everyone would come out and it would be hours and hours of slippin’ and slidin’ fun! Funny thing is, I think our dog loved it more than anyone.
Of all the board games I played as a kid, The Game of Life was my favorite. Remember laughing with the people that didn’t go to college, or ended up with ten kids (so many that there weren’t enough pegs in the little car for all the kids!). Good times.
I love those hard fought scrabble games that are nip and tuck, all the way to the end. Win or lose, they’re great!
Don’t get me wrong, I like watching tv as much as the next guy. But every once in awhile it’s nice to just leave the tv off, and sit on the couch or in a comfy chair a just read a book, or play a board game with the family.
You’re deep into a game of Monopoly, you’re mortgaged to the max, it seems like every other space has someone else’s hotel, and then you land on Free Parking. Voila! You’re back in the game!
