No Rain No Rainbow

No rain? No rainbow.

Summer Rain

25, Aug 2011

I love Summer rain storms. The ground almost hisses with the rain, it’s so thirsty. And when the rain stops, the everything dries so quickly, but smells so clean.

And by the first “real” day of spring, I’m referring to that first 70 degree, sunny day. When you can finally wear shorts without a coat. And everyone comes in to work and school the next day with their first sunburn of the year. And everyone is happy!

You know it’s spring when you start seeing tulips!

Frosty Mornings

4, Mar 2011

Sure, frosty cold mornings can start your day with a shiver, that’s true. But the world seems peaceful, quiet and serene when it’s blanketed in frost.

This umbrella is colored with special ink that changes color when wet! Check it out at Uncommon Goods

I used to love snow days – back when you didn’t have to worry about make up days and homework and all the other stresses of school and life. Snow days were like completely free days!

Wind Storms

26, Oct 2010

We’re in the middle of a fairly major windstorm up here in the Seattle area, and I think they are great. They might be a little scary and nervewracking, but that’s part of the fun! And I like being without power for a little while – it’s spooky!

Crisp Fall Days

18, Oct 2010

I love this weather! Nice and cool, the air smells clean, doesn’t it?

I love talking a walk just after it rains, when the ground still glistens. Everything smells so clean and fresh, even in the middle of the biggest city.
