Maybe it’s my small town upbringing, but whenever I go to the State Fair, I always have to go through the animal barns (and the arts and crafts barn, too). I can’t wait to take my son to the Puyallup fair this year!

Raku Pottery

12, Jul 2011

Fired very quickly in a kiln then placed in water or a combustible material, Raku pottery is an old Japanese style of glazing that produces amazing works of art from talented potters. I love the look, the almost fragile appearance of the pots, and respect the work required to form some wonderful pieces of art.
