Not many know all the words to Auld Lang Syne, but that’s okay. Here’s the full lyrics, courtesy of Wikipedia: Should old acquaintance be forgot, and never brought to mind ? Should old acquaintance be forgot, and old lang syne ? CHORUS: For auld lang syne, my dear, for auld lang syne, we’ll take a [...]

Old School Toys

29, Dec 2010

Like the Sit-n-Spin, for example. Simple, brain damaging, and fun!

Okay, maybe I’m not relaxing as well as Santa, but it’s nice to get the stress and go-go-go holiday sales out of the way!

Mulled Apple Cider

23, Dec 2010

This mulled apple cider recipe got me thinking, and I haven’t made mulled cider in quite awhile. I love that smell!

My baby girl is quite the little spitfire, she loves to be awake, look around, and give people the business. Lately though she’s become quite comfortable with sleeping with her head resting on my shoulder, and it makes me tear up with happiness every time she does it.

Christmas Cookie Trays

17, Dec 2010

I love Christmas cookies, especially trays that have several different kinds. I may not normally eat fudge, but when I’m sampling from a tray, I’ll take a piece. Same with spritz, sugar cookies, gingerbread men, macaroons, anything with nuts… You get the idea. I like cookies.

Master Po

15, Dec 2010

15, Dec 2010

I used to love watching the original Kung Fu series on TV. I quote the series all the time, and my quotes are nearly always met with a blank stare in return. I recently bought the DVD’s featuring all the episodes of Kung Fu, and I find it to be surprisingly rewatchable, unlike some other [...]

Monkey Bread

13, Dec 2010

This recipe for Monkey Bread got me thinking about how much I love monkey bread, and I love making it almost as much as I love eating it. In our house it’s a family event, with everyone getting their hands covered in cinnamon and sugar, while laughing, talking and having a great time! Start a [...]

My three year-old loves watching Pixar videos (A Bug’s Life, Cars, Madagascar, etc.) They’re fun to watch, but it’s mind-boggling how he could watch the same one over and over and over again, until he’s memorized the scenes, lines, colors, everything. I don’t know how he can do it.
